At about 2:00PM today the quiet brought about by the Chinese New Year holiday was disturbed by a loud bang. It was too loud and too early for a fireworks display. Soon enough it was reported to have been an explosion on HV dela Costa street in Salcedo Village in Makati. Fortunately, today is a non-working holiday so this normally busy neighborhood street was relatively empty. No major damages nor injuries. Photos of the Makati blast scene can be seen at Flipland.
